Our last time together make it last forever...Our camp this year was incredible... Our moments were unbelievable... Our fun together was indescribable... Our coaches, teachers, student leaders made this camp memorable for me and my friends... This is a special time of my life... One I will never forget... One that will be in my heart forever... Day 1, my friends and I went to school as usual. The only difference was our shoes and bags. After flag raising, we were brought back to our own classes to put our stuff down and to meet our student leaders. Then we proceeded to the hall. There, we met our coaches: Edwin [little red dot] and Kevin [esplanade]. Our class was split into 2 groups. Our group name was Little Red Dot. The other group was Esplanade. Collin, our student leader, helped us with our cheer. Later on, we went down to the canteen to have our tea break at 10am followed by our lunch at 12pm. The food was okay. Finally, we went to East Coast Park for the Rocket Race. We were supposed to build a “rocket” with the materials given. But when we fixed it, it turned out to be a catapult. Anyway, we lost the competition in the end. The Rocket Race was not very fun. After that, we went back to school for other activities and then bathed at about 6pm. Dinnertime!! We had Malay food for dinner. We could either use our right hand [only] to eat or with forks and spoons. Well, my group chose to eat with our hand so I followed. We were done in about 20minutes [I think?]. Later we did some journaling and then had supper. I did not eat it cause I was full. It was some bee hoon thingy with orange sugar. Now the time has come. It was about 10pm and its time to sleep!! Yay!! I love to sleep especially when it’s been a long day for me. We brushed our teeth and then tucked into our sleeping bag and sleep… Day 2, we woke up like 5.30am and there were so many girls in the toilet!! Wow. I got changed and then had breakfast. I can’t remember what I ate :) That day we went to Sentosa for the Amazing Race. It was fun but again, we did not win… So sad… We did not really follow the schedule so we didn’t eat at Sentosa. Instead, we went back to school and ate lunch. After that, we had an activity called “Cultura”. From there we learnt how to do the Indian and Malay dance. I prefer the Indian dance though :) Coach Jeffery, the guy in charge, told us he would let us go to bathe 30minutes earlier. So its 5.30pm instead of 6pm. But it depends on which class arrives the earliest. Our class was one of the earliest but the teacher did not let us off :( Instead we bathed at 6.30pm!! Later on, we had our dinner again followed by journaling and supper. Time to snooze again… Day 3, this is our last day. We had porridge for breakfast and it was not very nice!! Fortunately, I asked Mrs. Tan, our Math and Science teacher, to help us find pepper. She went to the noodle store and got pepper for us!! Yippee!! There was a change in plans and we did not go to Labrador Park for the Car Race. We had it in school. We had to design a car with the materials provided. Then we had a racing competition. We have 6 people running while holding the car. We did not manage to finish it. Last of all we had our lunch and watch a video of the pictures of us taken by another coach. That was the last thing we did before we broke camp. P.s : I really enjoyed this camp a lots. P.s.s : I also liked the "colours of life" game :) |
